Smart says;
This is the first time my own body appeared in my artwork and because of that it’s a very personal and treasured piece. I was single for the first time in 20 years and was starting to navigate the world of online dating and hook up apps. My phone was suddenly full of explicit selfies, I was also starting to be very prolific creatively. My work from then on became much more autobiographical, an important turning point.
